Life is a Joke! Enjoy It!

Being a marketing officer I used to travel a lot few years back. One Christmas Eve I was returning to my place by flight where the old lady next to my seat was making arrangements to get down the flight. She couldn’t manage her heavy hand baggage and dropped it on my shoulder dislocating my shoulder joint. Luckily there was an orthopedic surgeon on board who has put back the joint in the position asking me to bear the pain for sometime. He gave me some painkillers to subside my pain and asked me to visit local hospital after I landed in my city. I happily walked away after the flight landed carrying my hand baggage even though there is a slight pain. That was wonderful Christmas gift I have ever received from any body.

I love my ruby ring and had it since I was sixteen. I always wear it and never try to remove it. I visited my sister in New York that week end and we went to a jewelry store, where she wanted to purchase a Turquoise ring. We saw many rings and I liked one and was simply trying it and suddenly I realize that my ruby ring is missing. I searched my purse, car and everywhere and did not find it. I was very down hearted for loosing my favorite ring. All the way back my home I was only thinking about my ruby ring. I came home and tried to get fresh, removed by watch and kept it in the chest and I saw something twinkling there, yes it is my ruby ring which I removed before going for manicure.

When mom was busy in the kitchen and wanted us – me and my sister – to go to the neighborhood store and quickly collect some grocery, we took off merrily with few cents thrust in our hand. But we were lured by the temptation devil! Both of us were finding it too difficult to resist the temptations of the chocolates stacked in the store. We spent all the cents on chocolates, slowly walked back home, finishing off all the chocolates! With sorrow faces, we told her that we lost the coins and our loving mom gave us more cents to buy the grocery!

We stayed in a beautiful farm house in a small town of New Jersey for 6 months. We used to enjoy the greenery, nature and pleasant climate. But one day early in the morning when my 5 old daughter was about to leave to school she found a leopard in our backyard. She came running to me and said there is leopard behind the shrubs. I immediately shut all the doors and the windows of the house and called the police and informed the same. Police immediately along with animal catchers have come to catch the big cat and it took nearly 5 hours for them to catch the dangerous man eater.

My most memorable experience is my first visit to New York City where I lost my laptop bag as soon as I stepped into the airport that had all my travel documents, Money and other highly confidential official documents. I had filed a compliant with police and to my surprise my bag was traced within 24 hrs and found everything intact except for money.

One day after dropping my son in his day school, I took a bus back home and my home is a 10 minute walk from Bus terminus. After getting down from the bus I started walking towards my home, hardly after few minutes after walk I have noticed a young man following me very desperately. I started doubting the man and started running towards my apartments. I somehow managed to reach my home and immediately the door bell rang and to my shock it was the same young man pointing towards a handbag in his hand. After seeing the bag I realized that I forgot the bag in the bus and the young man was following me to return the same. Today also I sometimes burst out laughing thinking of the incident.
