Life is a Joke! Enjoy It!

My son got a pet fish as a gift from his teacher on his pre school convocation. He named it rushy as it moved fast in the tank. After 6 months we had to move out of state and we gave the fish to one of our friends. A few weeks later it died and they informed us. When ever our son asked about his pet fish, we just said ‘it is doing fine’. Once we happened to visit our friends and my son asks them about his rushy. They said it grew bigger and bigger and did not fit the tank any more and they left it in the lake. My son is 8 years now and he still believes that his fish is going grow bigger and bigger and one day it will be the biggest fish in the whole wide world.

It was a bingo night in our apartments and every one was ready with the tickets. They started with the corners and I got 3 corners and was waiting for one more and my friend got it. I missed the 1st row with one number, second with one number, and immediately after they announced the winner of the line I got my number I was waiting for. Full house was my only chance and I have 3 more numbers to go and I know there are many in the room that are just waiting for a single number. I gave my ticket to my husband and left the room. To my surprise, I was the winner of the full house, but got to share it with one more person.

We stayed in a beautiful farm house in a small town of New Jersey for 6 months. We used to enjoy the greenery, nature and pleasant climate. But one day early in the morning when my 5 old daughter was about to leave to school she found a leopard in our backyard. She came running to me and said there is leopard behind the shrubs. I immediately shut all the doors and the windows of the house and called the police and informed the same. Police immediately along with animal catchers have come to catch the big cat and it took nearly 5 hours for them to catch the dangerous man eater.

My daughter loves Peacocks; she always pretended to be a peacock and tried to dance like a peacock with a Japanese fan behind her. She always wanted to see the peacock dancing in front of her. One summer I took her to the zoo where we saw many animals and birds. We came to the place where peacocks were there. Many were inside and only a couple of them were out. My daughter was eager to look if it opens her feathers to dance. We saw a white peacock coming towards us and suddenly it opened its feathers completely and danced for few minutes going round and round. It was such a beautiful sight and a feast for my daughter’s eyes.

Statue of liberty is my favorite. We lived in Arizona for many years and I visited New York more than thrice just to look at Statue of liberty. In 2003 I got a job in New Jersey and we had to move to New jersey. I looked for the apartment in New Jersey and found one in Montgomery street. Even though the rent was on higher side, I said yes leasing agent as it had a massive view of Ellis Island. It is very near to the exchange place and the best part is I booked 21 st floor. Everyday I enjoyed sitting in my patio with a cup of coffee and looking and admiring at my favorite Statue of Liberty.

My most memorable experience is my first visit to New York City where I lost my laptop bag as soon as I stepped into the airport that had all my travel documents, Money and other highly confidential official documents. I had filed a compliant with police and to my surprise my bag was traced within 24 hrs and found everything intact except for money.
